Through the study of Geometry, you will learn that Geometry is math that is most applicable to the real world. Let’s say we want to build a new gymnasium at our high school to house a basketball court - what size will it need to be? Or what if an architect needs to design an end gable on a house for a certain roof pitch? What if we need to create an opening to fit a certain size object? Geometry can help solve all these design problems. In Essentials of Geometry, we will learn concepts such as distances, measurements, angles, and areas that will enable us to create solutions to apply to geometric problems such as these. Join me as we begin our study of the Essentials of Geometry, and you will begin to see geometric shapes and concepts - such as lines, angles, symmetries, congruencies, circles, squares, triangles, and areas - in everyday objects. Geometry - math you can use!
